MyGP 3.0 Design Hackathon

🧠 Background
As part of Grameenphone’s ongoing digital transformation, the UX of its flagship app, MyGP, was selected for a complete overhaul. The objective was to design MyGP 3.0, a user-centric evolution of the app that focuses on intuitive navigation, increased engagement, and enhanced sales conversion.

Organization: Grameenphone Ltd.
Context: MyGP is the leading self-care mobile application in Bangladesh, with over 10 million downloads.
Timeline: 5 Days (Design Sprint)

How might we improve the user experience of MyGP by building intuitive, engaging, and sales-focused navigation?
🏁 Key Deliverables
By the end of the five-day design sprint, the team aimed to:
Solution concept design and prototyping
Quick validation of assumptions through rapid user testing
🧪 The Workshop in Action
The hackathon sprint unfolded over 40 hours, involving 30 participants from various departments. The process included:
Group ideation and rapid prototyping sessions
Creation of five hand-drawn wireframes using pen and paper
Election of two consolidated low-fidelity prototypes through voting and Focused Group Discussion (FGD)
Usability testing with end-users
👥 Role & Facilitation
As one of five sprint facilitators, I :
Introduced the sprint brief and fascilitated the workshop
Maintained participant engagement, encouraging idea flow, and ensuring collaborative dynamics
Aligning daily progress with sprint goals
Coordinated rapid prototyping by applying Crazy 8 method

📱 Welcome walkthrough designed for newly registered users to ease onboarding
🧭 Redesigned home screen with prioritized, above-the-fold critical content
🚗 Integration of micro-services (e.g., Uber) into the MyGP service ecosystem
💎 Incorporation of GP Star loyalty features and STAR points within the app interface
